Bah-bahbahbaaaah Bumbumbumm

In 2009 a crack commando family of seven was sentenced to a summer squished into a grand caravan without air conditioning for the crime of having too many kids. The parents promptly escaped into the Cincinnati underground, flew to Florida and drove back in the biggest baddest van since...well, you know.

Mary, escaped with us and was very good little traveller. Here she is doing what Kenna referred to as "pole dancing." Nice, mom. But we found that she really doesn't appreciate being stuck in a car seat for 12 hours, but maybe she was upset we didn't take her to the beach before we left Florida.

So, we landed in Pensacola Friday evening, met our very friendly salesman who then showed us how to work some of the bells and whistles, prayed with him at his request, stayed in a hotel that night, and then drove home Saturday. Here is Kenna driving. I remember when we were at BYU she told me that she wanted a car that would make her look small. Well, I think we found something that accomplishes that.
As we were driving through Kentucky we decided to stop at a Waffle House for dinner. Neither of us had been to one and we wanted to see what all the hubbub was about. We figured that since they are everywhere they must be good, right? Wrong! Between the flies, the smell, and the freshly reconstituted orange juice seeing that place in our rear view mirror was a welcome sight.
Rylee had her first ride on the lift on Sunday. The other kids were sooo envious.
So, the story of why we had to go to Florida goes something like this: "You need how many seats? And a wheelchair lift?! We don't have anything like that" repeated at every dealership anywhere in Cincinnati. That left us with the internet. We couldn't find anything big enough, new enough, and with a wheelchair lift until Kenna found this van on eBay. We bid on it and lost, but the reserve was not met so nobody won it. Well, we called the dealer directly and appealed to his softer side and he made us an offer we couldn't refuse.
Now for the fun part. Continuing with the A-team theme we are going to play a matching game.
Help us figure out which family member should be which A-team member. Obviously, some answers will be used more than once.
The Original A-team
Col. John "Hannibal" Smith
Lt. Templeton "Face" Peck
Capt. H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock
Sgt. B.A. "Bad Attitude" Baracus
The Cincinnati A-team
Marc
Kenna
Rylee
Tanner
Ella
Sarah
Mary
The real answers will be given in a couple of days.

This is Erin from Toledo who now lives in Syracuse, NY. I keep telling Jeff we need a big van like this. I have a friend with 8 kids. They have a 12 passenger and are looking to upgrade to a 15 passenger van. Jeff isn't so sure.

How could you not possibly have enough room in the Caravan? Just kidding. So happy for your new van. The kids are now traveling in style.

(this is the Erin you are related to)

That is one sweet ride. I could see it being even sweeter with some black powder coated rims, purple track lights, and fuzzy dice hanging from the rear view. :)

I am thinking on the A-Team, but I could totally see Tanner rocking the mohawk and the fat gold chains of Mr. B.A. Baracus.

A funny post. Thanks for sharing. It reminds me of the van we had with a lift in the back and room for two adults and seven children. But of course back then they didn't have the infant and booster seat laws they have now. Congrats on the van. -Kyle
