Preschool Egg Hunt

I can't remember if I mentioned before our coop preschool that we have participated in this year.  For a number of reasons I didn't want to continue at the preschool that Sarah went to so I organized some ladies from church to do a coop preschool.  It has been so much fun.  I am so impressed each time Mary comes home with the creativity and effort that the other moms put in to their week to teach.

Yesterday, with more glorious weather, we gathered at the park for an Easter egg hunt.  The eggs each had a name written on it, so the kids had to find their own eggs.  I guess they have learned something because they were able to find their own names and even show friends which were theirs.

Our seven little preschoolers and one little brother.

Our little group will disband after this year since two will go to kindergarten and I wanted Mary to go to a traditional preschool for a year before kindergarten.   I am so glad we took the chance to do this for this year!

I am reading a book called The Happiness Project.  In it the author talks about the importance of documenting the silly little things that our kids do every day so we will remember them.  That is the next picture.  This little seasonal display is in the hallway that leads into our community center where I occasionally workout and the kids have swimming and gymnastics.  It was just recently switched from penguins and snow to ducks and frogs.  EVERY time we pass this my daughters have to stop and pet the animals.
We went straight from a winter that never really arrived to early summer.  It is low 80s and sunny in Ohio in March.  Wacky.  So today we spent a couple of hours at the park, playing, throwing rocks in a pond and riding scooters.
