Adctd2txt...lol

So, I had this really nice teenager come in the other day complaining of bad bilateral hand and forearm pain with some numbness for about one month. I was told she may have carpal tunnel syndrome by the referring doctor so that was foremost in my mind. Well, as I am talking to her the symptoms just aren't fitting for carpal tunnel so I start asking her more questions. I come to find out that she got a new cell phone for Christmas and has been texting nonstop since then. Well, she is really tender right over her thumb tendon and I figure out that she has developed severe tendinitis of the thumbs from texting too much. So, I restricted her texting (much to her mother's relief and the patient's dismay) and put her on some Motrin.
Let that be a lesson to all you texters out there; you need to stretch out before hand (no pun intended) and ice down after every long texting session.

It looks like with the Wii and texting I am going to be pretty busy.

All because Ella flushed ice cubes down the toilet

We get this.

We just got our computer back from Best Buy. Again. The first time I sent it in to be repaired they didn't and so I had to send it in again and it just came back tonight. So I have been guilt free with regards to my lack of blogging until now.

Today I took the middle three kids sledding after I got home from work.
There is a park nearby that has a good sized man-made hill that was pretty crowded. The kids had fun and they lasted about 45 minutes before they got too cold and wanted to leave. Ella phoned ahead so mom would have the hot chocolate ready. But there's really nothing like an hour or two of Rockband to get your blood pumping again. Today we worked on some Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam.

Christmas Redux

The kids got new Christmas jammies

Mary's first Christmas might have come just a tad too early in the morning

Santa got a raise!

Grandpa got Mary to cheer up later on.

Aunt Erin and Uncle Alex got snuggled

We got the rockin'est gift ever!

Even Grandpa Wilson got into the act

Kenna and I formed a band, "Snuggle Lightning" (that name was randomly chosen by the game and we knew we couldn't come up with anything to top that). So, as typically happens with rock stars we have given up all other responsibilities so we can focus on our musical "career." Because of this the house has become a little less tidy.

And real rock stars can't be bothered with taking care of children so we hired this guy we know who is about to lose his job to take care of the kids.
