After living in Toledo for almost six years, we decided to make the one hour drive up to Detroit for the auto show for the first time. The kids never seem very excited about a road trip that doesn't include a DVD player and seeing their cousins. But we had a great time.
Oddly enough, it seemed like we spent the most time in the Mercedes display. The kids especially enjoyed the seat controls. Did you know those front seats lay all the way back. Sarah made the mistake of sitting behind Tanner and discovering this by having her toes smashed!
The Mini Cooper display had a fun car simulator thing that kids got to drive.
The M&M car was a big hit!
There were a few concept cars that were straight out of a sci-fi film. Fun to see what the future might hold!

How fun! I went once with my family when I was much younger. Looks awesome.
joy and i used to go to the one in Philly every year. We, too, would spend a lot of time in the Mercedes section. I think because we knew that was the closest we would ever get.
So...did you decide on a mercedes to buy?? :) Looks like a fun thing to do! We'll have to venture up there one of these years.
I'm not an aficionado of cars, but I am quite impressed with the Detroit Auto show (I saw some of it on the news). Looks like you and the kids had a great time!
How fun! My sister lived in Detroit for a while and one year worked as a "model" for the car show. One of the other models was complaining about their ads that said "come and see the new models". She was offended that they objectified her. She had no clue they were talking about the cars. Yes, she was blonde! Good luck tomorrow!
